Much More Munsch Exhibit!
This exhibit was created with the help of Robert Munsch by the Manitoba Children's Museum and centres on many of his most popular titles, like "Paper Bag Princess" and "Love You Forever".  It has been all over North America and is now coming to Saskatoon!  This is a real feather in our cap since we are such a young Children's Museum.

Admission to one side will be $3.50, admission to both will be $5.00.  The exhibit is great fun for everyone who has listened to or read a Munsch book.

We will have school programming available for Munsch as well as our normal school programming on the Museum side.  Schools are booked on Mondays and Tuesdays and spots are being claimed quickly.  Give us a call for more information or to book a date, 683-2555.

The Life Cycle of a Butterfly!

Butterflies are an amazing part of nature!

The transition from egg to catepillar to pupa to a beautiful butterfly is the process of Metamorphisis. Children and adults tend to be curious about this transition as it is limited to very few species.

The Children's Discovery Museum on the Saskatchewan has a new live exhibit - The Life Cycle of a Painted Lady Butterfly!

In late May we introduced large catepillars to the museum. Children and caregivers have marveled over the transitions we have experienced to date. As of June 5th we had 7 Pupas. Here is a picture of them.

It should not be long now! It usually takes between 7-10 days to move from a Pupa to an Adult.

We encourage you to bring your child in to share in this amazing processes and take part in the interactive games we have set up along with the live exhibit.

We have 200 members, and 30 active volunteers. Thank you all, and we look forward to another amazing year!

Tim Hortons Day

We had 150 people visit us for free last Friday, May 7, courtesy of Tim Hortons. Janice at the front desk said everyone shared well with others, and it was a great day!
