Access Program Provides a 'Yes' Environment for Pre-Kindergarten Children

The Children's Discovery Museum is committed to fostering a lifelong love of learning in children. Thanks to Saskatchewan’s Community Initiatives Fund, we are able to provide free admission and transportation to many school and preschool groups from Saskatoon's core neighborhoods. We are excited to have this opportunity!

On February 1, the Pre-Kindergarten class from Bishop Roborecki Community School came for a morning of exploration and creativity. Carlee Eng and her students were inspired by their visit! She had this to say:

"I just got back from the Museum with my Prekindergarten classes and we loved it! It was so nice to bring the kids somewhere where they could touch, hold, feel, explore, and play with EVERYTHING! I usually do not look forward to field trips because it requires me to constantly be telling the Pre-K's 'No', but for this trip everything was a 'Yes!'. The kids were so played out that many of them fell asleep on the bus! When we got back to school, the kids were still talking about being vets, so we have now set up a big vet center in our room! Thank you for inspiring our learning outside and inside our classroom! The museum inspired so much creativity within the students - I loved seeing them perform on the stage, it was great! Thank you for giving these students an opportunity they would have never had otherwise!"
